DictateNow sponsors Hertfordshire Law Society Annual Dinner

Once again, members of the team here at DictateNow will be attending the Hertfordshire Law Society Annual Dinner; an event we will also be sponsoring in recognition of the society’s important work for law firms and solicitors in the region.

The black-tie event takes place on 7 June at The Old Palace, Hatfield House, which was built around 1485 by the Bishop of Ely, John Morton and is renowned for its important mediaeval brickwork.

Given the busy schedule of exhibitions and events we have attended recently, it is good for our team members to meet up with clients and colleagues old and new in such inspiring surroundings, for what is one of the highlights of the legal sector calendar.

Whilst we will undoubtedly enjoy the drinks reception in the beautiful gardens, we will remain vigilant for a chance to introduce our transcription and digital dictation services into conversations – no hard sell, just a gentle reminder of the benefits available to law firms of every size.

The guest speaker is Simon Davis, incoming Vice President of the Law Society, who will no doubt prove an interesting and entertaining listen. He is a senior litigator at the London office of Clifford Chance and will be the first magic circle solicitor to take office since 2012.

Sponsorship is important

Admittedly not an altogether altruistic gesture, we sponsor the Hertfordshire Law Society Annual Dinner because it is our ‘home’ society for our Borehamwood Head Office and we like to meet customers or prospects face-to-face.

The Annual Dinner is not a sales opportunity in the truest sense, but it helps raise awareness of the DictateNow brand and in these complicated times for marketing, that is no bad thing.

We hope that when any attendees of the event are stuck late in their offices, with lack of support staff and desperate to get a transcription returned, a file opened, or a document formatted, they will remember our name and get in touch.

The Hertfordshire Law Society has come a long way since it was formed in May 1883 with a full membership subscription costing £1 – it is currently £45, which represents huge inflation-busting value.

The Annual Dinner requires sponsors to cover the cost of staging this glamorous event, so funds raised from subscriptions can be used to help Hertfordshire Law Society raise its profile and promote the interests of the local legal community.

Members can develop their careers and share ideas through networking and training events. The Society also participates in numerous important forums regarding the legal profession and makes its voice heard at a national level.

If you are a member and planning to attend, please seek us out and say hello. We would be glad to enjoy a glass of wine with you and promise not to bore you too much with our tales of transcription.
